Bangkok is one of the top cities of Southeast Asia economically. Bangkok is also the hottest city of the world climatically. Bangkok is growing fast, some say too fast. It now includes the area of Thon Buri, which was once the capital of Siam, and the combined area is commonly known now as Krung Thep Mahanakhon. Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand and home to more than 6.5 million people. The metropolitan area is by far the largest of the country and has an estimated population of over 11 million.

Bangkok is said to be the 22nd most populous city in the world, with a population of about 11 million, including Bangkok proper and surrounding areas, the best time to visit Bangkok is during the months of May, June and September, when the city is at its least crowded. Bangkok is more like work. It’s kind of a slog. Bangkok is not just a city to visit briefly on your way to somewhere else. It is a place so rich in experience you will want to visit it time and time again.
